Park & Ride facility at Riccarton on the A71 just a 4 mile drive from Ashcroft Farmhouse.

A frequent bus service then takes you into the City Centre at a cost of £1.20 each way or £3.00 for an all day ticket  and you can then travel anywhere on any Lothian Region bus (does not include Sightseeing Tours)

 BOOKING TERMS & CANCELLATION POLICY

Bookings are secured by providing your credit card details and home address.. These details will be retained to guarantee the booking, but your card will be debited only in the event of cancellation within 1 week of arrival date or failure

to fulfil the booking. The debit will be for the total accommodation, excluding breakfast, if we are unable to relet the room/rooms. Bookings of 7 days pay first night's charge as deposit on confirmation and balance one week before arrival.

It is, therefore, advisable for guests to take out travel insurance against unforeseen cancellation.

SMOKING POLICY

Any evidence of a guest having smoked ANYWHERE inside the Guest House (including ensuites) will incur a £50 charge being debited from their credit card to cover extra costs involved in getting rid of the odour, ie drycleaning curtains, shampooing carpets, etc. 

You may smoke to your heart's content outside where we have an 'ashtray' onthe wall for your cigarette butts.

Scotland operates a no smoking ban in all public places, and you will be fined if you smoke in them.

 Tariff (incl VAT)

Adults and children over 12 years:

£35 - £40 per person per night incl. 17.5% VAT  and breakfast

Please note: no children under 12 years of age, sorry Children aged 12 - 14 years sharing family room with adults are charged £15 per person per night

Single occupancy of double or twin room - £55 - £60 per night including 17.5% VAT and breakfast

Check in times

We prefer guests to arrive between 1600 and 2000 hrs. If you wish to arrive outwith these hours, please let us know your estimated arrival time - the previous day, if possible - so that we can be at home to welcome you.

Entry to Ashcroft Farmhouse is by security code, which will be given to you beforehand if you are going to arrive very late for your first night's stay.

 Cancellation

Cancellation policy is full payment of accommodation if cancelled within one week of arrival if we are unable to re-let it.
